Fall is one of my favorite times of year! Especially in Colorado, there are so many fall activities for kids and for adults! I am all about doing all the Halloween things and when I heard there was a Murder Mystery Dinner at The Brown Palace I knew we had to go! I’ve been to one Murder Mystery Dinner at the Adams Mystery Playhouse in Denver years back and it was SO fun! What is not to love?! A murder to solve, getting dressed up and noshing on delicious food and drinks.
We definitely took the opportunity to dress up which is my favorite. I wore this satin billowy sleeve dress from Kittenish and was super excited about it!
We arrived at the hotel, checked in and changed just in time to get a quick pic and cocktail before the show started. In this moment we felt very Murder Mystery ready!!
THE MURDER
After arriving at a premier book launch at famous author J.C. Crate’s exclusive mansion, the celebratory Halloween party for the release of his new murder mystery novel titled, The Red Hand, a storm washes out the road, trapping everyone. We had to use our detective skills to becoming super sleuths who searched for clues and solved the crime!
We sat at a table with three other couples which is so fun! You can purchase tickets for $140 each or reserve an entire table for $1050. I love that we were able to meet other people and try to solve the murder together however going with friends would have been so fun too!
This Murder Mystery dinner was in collaboration with the Adam’s Mystery Playhouse which meant that the storyline, actors and experience was stellar. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
THE DINNER
We dined on an absolutely delicious 3-course dinner which was included in the ticket price. The kitchen at The Brown Palace hotel is divine. The food is spectacular and we both ate every last bite. They had a bar next to the event and we grabbed a cocktail before the dinner started.
AFTER THE SHOW
We went to Churchill Bar after the show for some after show cocktails. The atmosphere is mellow and chill which is perfect for a relaxing evening.
THE STAY
The Brown Palace hotel is such a beautiful hotel! The lobby is my favorite!
The rooms are a mix of new and old and surprisingly spacious. We soaked in a warm bath and enjoyed our evening without the kids! I forgot our toothpaste and was able to call down and get some sent up so fast. It was literally at our door as soon as I hung up the phone.
In the morning we had a cup of coffee from our coffee maker in the room before we departed. I live for these quiet moments where we can just catch up and talk about our future, our goals and all the fun things we have planned together. Though we are together everyday, the busyness of life can take away conversation and that’s one reason I love little staycations.
If you are looking for a fun date night idea, I highly recommend the Murder Mystery dinner at The Brown Palace. You can get the room and dinner that includes valet parking for $600 which is a steal! You can book directly here.
With or without kids I firmly believe in dating your significant other and have one date night a week.
Let me know if you go to the Murder Mystery dinner at The Brown Palace and who was the murderer. No spoilers here!
XOXO,
Erin
