I love throwing a good party! I feel that birthdays are the most special because it’s the one day where you can celebrate you! Bladen’s first birthday party was featured on the blog Hostess with the Hostess 10 years ago and as a mom I have enjoyed throwing parties ever since. Seven is big energy so naturally Eero wanted to have his 7th birthday party at Ninja Nation. Ninja Nation is a world-class obstacle course facility located in Centennial, Colorado. Ninja Nation brings the arena experience to life and makes the sport of obstacle racing accessible to all ages and skill levels. Think American Ninja Warrior. My husband loves this place as it makes him feel like a kid again! There’s really nothing else like it, and it was the perfect place to celebrate Eero turning 7!
THE VENUE
Every detail at Ninja Nation has been designed to create a fun and empowering environment where you feel like a super hero in your own video game. We had a designated party host that was able to take the kids on a guided adventure as well as let them play at their own pace. I love the structure of a party host as well as the free play. Our party package included 90-minute arena floor experience, followed by 30-minutes in their party area. Which was a perfect mix of play and party!
Eero and his friends had a blast competing against each other as well as challenging themselves in their own obstacle challenges. Eero is in first grade and I felt that it was very age appropriate party. Any younger in my opinion may be a little young to really immerse themselves in the full experience. The skies the limit with the age ceiling as adults can have a blast too!
THE CAKE, PIZZA AND PRESENTS
Eero has started golfing and has developed a love for the game. He also had requested an ice cream cake so naturally we ordered the cake from Dairy Queen. Ninja Nation had a freezer in the back and was able to accommodate keeping the cake cool until it was ready to go! He was super excited about the toy golf cart toy on top.
The party package included pizza which was the perfect party snack for the kiddos. No outside food was allowed except for the celebratory items like the cake and candy.
I am through and through a no present opening at parties. I have always felt that kids don’t totally enjoy (especially at young ages) watching other kids open gifts so we never allot time for this at the party. I like to keep the party a party! We open gifts at home when the distraction of the party is gone and where we can focus on gratitude and thankfulness and write our thank you’s to our party guests!
THE PARTY
Eero was so excited to celebrate with his friends! A lot of his friends hadn’t been to Ninja Nation before which was fun to be able to introduce kids to a new place.
THE PARTY FAVORS
In my opinion party favors are a must have. I love a way to say thank you to the party guests for coming and celebrating with us and I also love to keep the party going. I went to Target, Walmart and Party City to collect fun party favors. Eero helped me put them together the week before! It was a fun activity for Eero to help and it only got him more excited for his upcoming party!
THE DETAILS
I have thrown birthday parties at home which is nice to not have to leave your house but the set up and clean up is no joke. Ninja Nation provides a seamless experience. They handle everything from setup to cleanup. Their team really makes it so easy to host a party. We arrived early to set up decorations and table settings. There is no price to put on the clean up of a party in my opinion! That alone takes so much work off my plate and where I can truly be a mom at the party rather than the host!
2 Hour Big Party $699
- Birthday Child + Up To 30 Guests
- 1.5 Hours On Arena Floor
- 30 Min In The Party Room
- Free Headband For The Birthday Child
- Party Room Assistant
They have a standard package for up to 15 guests for $425 and an Own The Arena package for $899 on Saturday’s and Sunday’s where it’s your entire event. The time we went wasn’t overly crowded so I felt very comfortable with sharing the arena with other parties and attendees at the same time. Our party room was private so we had our own dedicated space.
Along with the invitation I included a link to the waiver to save time for parents to check in their child at the party if they had not been there before.
THE AFTER PARTY
If you are looking for a high energy place to host your kiddos birthday party I would highly recommend Ninja Nation. They made the entire experience so easy for us parents and fun for the kids. You can inquire about party details and availability on their website HERE.
Ninja Nation offers camps, classes in addition to birthday parties. Eero loves to go to Ninja Nation for some open gym time as it is just that much fun! Honestly I may book Michael’s next birthday party here because it is just as much fun for adults!!
